In Hyderabad, ANCON Group, HMDA join Hands to set up Logistic Park

A day ago, the ANCON Group announced the launching of the city’s maiden Logistics Park in Hyderabad under the PPP model [Public private partnership] in collaboration with the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority.

KT Rama Rao, Telangana Minister for IT and Industries inaugurated the HMDA ANCON Logistics Park and this park is designed to have facilities like modern warehousing along with amenities to reorganize the logistics operations while considering the growth of this sector.

The first phase of Grade-A warehouse covers 1.2 lakh square feet with 1.2-meter-high plinth and multiple docking yards on all sides for efficient loading, unloading and cross-docking operations.

Rao said that the State Government is focusing on the development of Hyderabad as the logistics hub of the country as more parks will become operational in the coming times. He further said that the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority [HMDA] plans to build logistic parks along the Outer Ring Road of Hyderabad for enabling a De-congestion of freight traffic.

The minister was quoted saying the logistic parks would also support the industry in the region by providing world-class storage and handling facility to store and distribute their goods. We are excited to see the fast movement in this space with our first PPP model Logistics park, HMDA ANCON Logistics Park, becoming operational within 24 months.

This logistic Park will create job opportunities for approximately 800 people, the minister added.
