Bandra-Kurla complex: A new residential hotspot emerging in South Mumbai

Bandra Kurla complex is a one of the most popular planned commercial complex located in South Mumbai. According to MMRDA, the complex is the first of series centers which were constructed to decongest southern Mumbai and seed new areas of a planned commercial real estate in the metropolitan region. It is also the proposed Terminus of the Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train.

 

BKC is house to a number of commercial buildings, retail shops, and national business centers. It is also home to the Mumbai Cricket Association’s cricket ground, the United States Mumbai Consulate and the British Deputy High Commission.

 

An emerging residential hub

 

BKC, when came into existence was known as an alternative central business district. But in today’s time, it is emerging as a residential hotspot of South Mumbai. The prime point which is making BKC as a developing residential hub is its location. BKC is well-connected to the Western Express Highway, the Eastern Express Highway and is close to both, the domestic and international airports. While Bandra and Kurla are the major stations which come in this area, it also boasts good infrastructure facilities, civic amenities, excellent connectivity and meticulously planned roads.
