TN Government Sanctions Land for Tidel Park in Avadi

The Tamil Nadu State Government sanctioned the proposal for setting up of another Tidel Park in the Chennai city. Located in Avadi area this park will fall in the western suburbs of the city. This approval comprises of nearly 4 million sq.ft. area of land for the construction of various software companies, state-of-the-art auditorium, food court, and banks and ATM facilities.

Edappadi K Palaniswami, the Chief Minister approved the allocation of 10 acres of land that belonged to the Southern Structural Solutions, which is a State Government’s sick PSU. According to the sources, this allocated land will be utilized for the construction of the park in the first phase.

The State Government will unlock more land parcel for the construction of the Tidel Park, a source said.  Currently, the Southern Structural has 48 acres at Pattabiram. The first Tidel Park was set up in the year 200 at Taramani and this maiden park covers 1.5million sq.ft. area. Also, there are more than 12,000 people employed in the City’s first Tidel Park and this commercial space charge 54 per sq.ft.

The Taramani Park was developed and the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation [TIDCO] will also be responsible for managing the upcoming Tidel Park in Avadi too.
