In order to stop duplication and tampering of properties in the city, the Gurugram bench of Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (H-RERA) has started issuing a fresh certificate to developers and real estate agents. The new certificate will be valid for five years and after that the property owner has to get it renewed online.

According to K K Khandelwal, chairman, H-RERA, one can easily see the rules printed on the left hand side of the certificate. This will help in making the registration of properties more secure. A new standard format has been prepared for owners to get their properties registered online, so now real estate agents and developers have to fill up the details and attach copies of the required documents on authority’s website.

Documents which need to be uploaded during the filling up of the form include property owner’s tax details, PAN number, address proof, and their photographs. More details which one need to provide is regarding the property registration as proprietorship firms, societies, partnership or company including details of registration of other properties in any other state or union territory.

Giving more information on the newly designed certificate, H-RERA officials said, “A fixed amount has been prescribed as fee, which is to be submitted in the form of cheque/demand draft with the registration form online. One can register as an individual or as a company. The fee for an individual has been fixed at Rs 25,000 per property, while the same for a company is Rs 2, 50,000 per property.”

Once the property owners will fill up the online orm it will go to concerned authority for the scrutiny. If any information is found missing, then the applicant would be alerted within a week to complete it. The final decision about the registration will be taken after that within next 30 days.
