This will bring an end to the traffic problems of Delhi-NCR commuters.

The chief minister has paid a surprise visit to inspect the work at the intersection of KMP-KGP and National Highway-1 at Rai in Sonipat district.

After the inspection, he announced that Work on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) expressway and the Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal (KGP) expressway would be completed by March, and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 31.

He further said, “The construction work on these expressways would be completed within the prescribed time frame and it would help in getting rid-off of traffic jams.” Earlier, he has also reviewed the progress of construction work and sought a report from the officers of the construction company.

Giving more information on the CM’s surprise visit, Amit Arya, media advisor to the Haryana CM said in a release, “CM expressed satisfaction at the pace of work. We have been assured that this project will be completed by March 31. He also had a detailed discussion with highway authority officials and he sought details about the construction status of the roads.”

Once these roads are completed, vehicles going from north India to western and southern part of the country would be able to pass through without entering into Delhi. These vehicles will also be able to bypass Gurgaon and Delhi, which will reduce pollution and traffic in NCR, said an official of Haryana Government.
