News

Greater Noida: In order to enhance connectivity between the planned airport and the nearby NCR cities, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is planning at least three alternative routes to provide easy access to commuters.

According to YEIDA CEO, Arun Vir Singh, “The aim is to provide maximum connectivity to the upcoming airport from various places in the NCR.” He further said that they are also holding meetings with National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Yamuna expressway concessionaire Jaypee Group and the NCR Planning Board (NCRPB) to prepare a roadmap.

He also added that in next 4-5 years many people from Delhi- NCR will travel to Jewar and for that they need lots of preparation.

The routes

First route:  Here the officials have decided to link Jewar to already planned expressway between Palwal- Khurja and Yamuna expressway. The two expressways will intersect near Sabota Mustafabad and YEIDA’s sectors 30, 31, 7 and 8, by a 7.5-km link.

Second route: This stretch will be the extension of the 130m-wide road between Noida and Sirsa, all the way to Jewar, making it a 46 km stretch in total. As per the latest reports, a stretch of this road between Parthala Khanjarpur in Sector 122, Noida and Sirsa-Kasna in Greater Noida has already been constructed.

Third route: This will be widening of the 60m service road that runs parallel to Yamuna expressway. As of now construction has been done till Dankaur. But looking at the future prospects, YEIDA will not stretch it up to Jewar.
